The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends an hourly fee of $318 (plus GST) for a standard 46–60 minute consultation in 2026.
My standard private consultation fee is $228/hr (plus GST) per 50 minute session.

OPTION 1: BETTER ACCESS INITIATIVE
Requires a copy of the Mental Health Treatment Plan and GP referral letter
Covers up to 10 sessions per calendar year (initial 6, then 4 with review)
Available for individuals with diagnosed mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder etc.)
Adjustment Disorder is a common referral, often related to the emotional impact of an autism, ADHD, or AuDHD diagnosis, or caregiving stress
OPTION 2: COMPLEX NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS AND ELIGIBLE DISABILITIES PLAN (CNDD/ED Plan)
For autistic individuals under 25 yrs
This includes up to 20 sessions for psychologist treatment sessions
Requires a CNDD/ED Plan completed by a paediatrician or psychiatrist.

There are three types of NDIS plans:
1. Self-managed
* You can choose any psychologist (NDIS-registered or not)* The full fee is automatically processed on the day of your appointment using the securely stored credit card provided in advance
* The receipt is emailed for claiming NDIS reimbursement
2. Plan-managed
* You can choose any psychologist (NDIS-registered or not)* The invoice is emailed to the plan manager
3. NDIA-managed
* A NDIS-registered providerMUST be used, with invoices being submitted via the NDIA portal -

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

A minimum of 2 clear business days notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment without incurring a fee.

0-24hrs notice:
Cancellations and rescheduling within 0-24hrs (business days) will incur the full session fee (plus GST).
24-48hrs notice:
Cancellations and rescheduling within 24-48hrs (business days) will incur a $125 fee (plus GST).

No show policy
A full session fee (plus GST) will be charged for missed appointments or no-shows.

Booking Terms
Booking terms apply to both in-person and telehealth appointments.
Fees relating to cancellations, rescheduling, or missed appointments are charged in accordance with Sunflower Psychology Services’ policy.
Outstanding fees are automatically processed using the securely stored credit card.
Where applicable, fees are processed prior to booking your next appointment.
If you need to cancel, we kindly ask that you let us know as early as possible, so your appointment can be offered to someone on the waitlist.
If you are unwell on the day of your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible to see whether a telehealth appointment can be arranged.
Telehealth Appointments
Psychology sessions are available via secure video or phone.
Fees are the same for both face-to-face and telehealth appointments.
If you’re feeling unwell, a telehealth session can be arranged to help maintain consistency and wellbeing.
Please contact the office in advance to arrange a telehealth session or reschedule your appointment.
